Runner Strength Training

Butt kicks

Mobility · Learning · in seconds held

Why it helps your running

Wakes up the hamstrings and loosens the knee: that quick heel recovery under the glute, just like in a fast stride.

You'll need
nothing: just your bodyweight

How to do it

  1. Pull your heel up toward your glute, knee pointing down.
  2. Stay light on your forefoot, keep the rhythm quick.
  3. Chest tall, shoulders relaxed.

Common mistakes

  • The knee swings forward like a high knee.
  • The torso leans forward.

Strength work, built into your plan.

Your coach picks your movements, their sets and tempo, and slots them into your week — with a guided session, minute by minute.
