Runner Strength Training

90/90

Mobility · Learning · in seconds held · per side

Why it helps your running

Both hip rotations in one position: hips that move freely when your footing is off-camber.

You'll need
nothing: just your bodyweight

How to do it

  1. Sit down, one leg bent at 90° in front of you, the other bent at 90° out to the side, both knees on the floor if you can.
  2. Chest tall, lean out over your front shin, hold, breathe.
  3. Then rotate your chest toward the back leg; when the time's up, drop your knees to the other side.

Common mistakes

  • You round your back instead of hinging forward with a flat back.
  • One glute lifts off the floor.

Strength work, built into your plan.

Your coach picks your movements, their sets and tempo, and slots them into your week — with a guided session, minute by minute.
