Runner Strength Training

Standing forward fold

Mobility · Learning · in seconds held

Why it helps your running

Hamstrings and lower back let go together: the posterior chain releases everything it held on to during the session.

You'll need
nothing: just your bodyweight

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet hip-width apart, knees slightly unlocked, and let your upper body hang forward.
  2. Head and arms heavy, neck relaxed; let your hands land wherever they land.
  3. Breathe, and let each exhale take you a little lower.

Common mistakes

  • Knees lock out and pull on the back of your legs.
  • You pull with your arms to get lower.

Strength work, built into your plan.

Your coach picks your movements, their sets and tempo, and slots them into your week — with a guided session, minute by minute.
