Single-leg balance, eyes closed
Hips and glutes · Building · in seconds held · per side
Why it helps your running
With your eyes shut, the foot does the talking: it's the reflex that catches you on a root before you even think about it.
- You'll need
- nothing: just your bodyweight
How to do it
- Stand on one foot, find your balance, then close your eyes.
- Stay tall, keep the ankle active, arms free to make corrections.
- If you put your foot down, reset and keep going for the time asked.
Common mistakes
- You hold your breath.
- You close your eyes before you're stable.
Strength work, built into your plan.
Your coach picks your movements, their sets and tempo, and slots them into your week — with a guided session, minute by minute.
